Description: I. 'Heroes of Mons. Soldiers who have done their bit for England receiving their discharge prior to their return to civil life.' War Department Daimler lorry pulls up and soldiers get out with their personal kit. Cut to the men, now in civilian dress, signing for their discharge pay at a table set up in the open-air. MS as a soldier throws open the door to 'Baths' and the men (still in uniform at this stage) go in with towels.II. 'JUDGES PROCESSION. The Lord Chancellor and Judges attend service at Westminster Abbey prior to re-opening the Law Courts.' The Lord Chancellor, preceded by stewards holding his regalia, walks past the camera outside the Abbey, followed by robed judges.III. 'SAVING THE NATION'S PETROL. Demonstration in London of all types of motor vehicles using coal gas, from motor cycles to a 40 h.p. Admiralty char-a-banc.' MS of motorcycle combination fitted with a roof which supports the gas bag. MS of a second combination which tows a 'Cox's Gas Trailer'. MSs of a car and a RN coach with gas bags on roof.IV. 'Admiralty Official Film. ABOARD A DREADNOUGHT. Sunday morning Church Parade upon a "Bulwark of Britain" Somewhere in the North Sea.' MS of a Captain talking with one of his officers. Marines are marched aft - Iron Duke Class battleship visible in the background with a Royal Sovereign beyond. HA between the guns of Y turret to quarterdeck where band is playing as divisions are marched past the King. 'Admiralty Official Film. BRITAIN'S MIGHT. The power which enables British and Allied Commerce to hold the freedom of the seas.' LS over Firth of Forth to HMS Lion at anchor, Forth railway bridge in the background. Between Lion and the cameraship are several launches and steam pinnaces, presumably standing off while ship's captains are onboard the cameraship.
